Bash Singer/Songwriter competition
HIBBING, Minn.
─ The singer/songwriter contest is back at Zimmy's Bar and Restaurant
in
downtown Hibbing
for Dylan Days
2008. A full bill of entertainers will each perform one original song
and one
Bob Dylan song for prizes and honor during the annual competition. Past
years have included competitors from all over the world. The winner is
invited to sing their songs onstage before the Dylan Days Benefit
Concert featuring Ramblin' Jack Elliott on May 24 at the Hibbing High
School Auditorium.
The event is free to attend and begins at 7 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008
on
the Atrium side of
the restaurant. Contestants must pre-register to compete by calling
Linda at Zimmy's at

THE 2008 SHOWBILL
IS FULL. Names will be taken for a waiting list, but those
who cannot compete are encouraged to try the Dylan Days open jam
session at the Memorial Building Little Theater that same night and
time.
