Dates set for Dylan Days 2009
Welcome to the online home of Dylan
Days, an organization supporting the arts and
honoring
Bob Dylan in his hometown of Hibbing, Minnesota. The next Dylan
Days will be held May 21-24, 2009.
Headline events are still being determined, but Dylan Days always
includes traditions like the singer/songwriter contest,
literary showcase, visual arts contest, and Bobby Zimmerman bus
tour. You can still get a taste of Dylan Days 2008 throughout this summer. The highlight of this year’s Dylan Days was the opening of a special exhibit at Ironworld in nearby
This year's Dylan Days also brought the world premiere of an original one-act play selected during the first annual Dylan Days One-Act Play contest, which attracted entries from all over the world. In addition, folk icon Ramblin' Jack Elliott headlined a Dylan Days Benefit Concert for the Hibbing Arts Council.
